Hey everyone! 

Firstly, on behalf of the NST, thank you for all the bugreports, balancing feedback, and general comments regarding our 2.5 MASSIVE update! It has certainly kept the team busy reviewing your comments and making changes to help improve things further!

Secondly, as a result of the above, we're planning an extended maintenance window tomorrow, Saturday 6th March, from 10:00 UTC. This downtime window we're estimating will finish around 14:00 UTC, but this time could vary depending on time needed for updates. 

Thirdly... at the end of the extended maintenance window, we're pushing out the next update for Neocron! Update notes will hopefully be available during the downtime for you to read before getting back into game :)

I don't know where to start. 

7 days ago we launched the biggest update to Neocron that we've ever done. By biggest, not only in terms of what we delivered, but we had people working on this update for well over 1 year!

5 days ago we got a few hotfixes in from bug reports raised both in-game(which we've not seen in ages!), and via our Discord channels. Some of these hotfixes wouldn't have happened without you reporting them! It is so vital that you report anything that could be a bug (or feature ;)) so we can assess it.

That bring us onto tonight. Well, tonight we hit 100 concurrent players! 

From us at the Neocron Support Team, thank you! We genuinely cannot run this game without you, so despite our plans to continually provide updates to this amazing game, without you wanting it, and playing it, it would be nothing. <3

We've just deployed the latest update to the Neocron Evolution Servers. Mostly a backend update, but this should hopefully provide a bit more stability against a recent spate of Bad World Data(BWD's) within the game. 

As usual, we ask you to always let us know by our official communication channels if there are problems. Preferably via Twitter or Discord.

The Neocron Christmas Department is wishing you a happy and healthy holidays!

Alright guys, time for some news regarding the current server situation. The recent outage was caused by a severe database crash during the backup process.

Zoltan has worked very hard and finally managed to clean up the mess that caused the crash. So the good news is: The servers are up and running again!

However, since the crash occured during the backup process, we had to face quite some corrupted data. We thus had to perform a complete, consistent and clean rollback to the latest functional backup. This backup reflects the state of June 7, 09:30 a.m. (CEST). As a consequence, everything that happened within the timeframe between the latest backup and the server outage is gone forever.

We are very sorry that we could not give better news on this topic except that the servers are running again.

However, since we can neither track nor account for lost items, player progress or any other unpleasant results from the data loss, we ask you to refrain from requesting any items, skillpoints, money, etc. that you think has fallen victim to the outage.

In any case, we thank you for your continous encouragement and the trust you put in us. And last but not least, thank you for your understanding!

Update: Spidercave is back online!

As you may noticed the Spidercave is not accessible at the moment.

We're investigating the issue.

For the time beeing we've deactivated the sector.

Yesterday (20th May) a disk error issue occurred with our main Database Application server. This issue led to the unplanned downtime of the main Website, Forums, API and the Launcher.

At the time it was believed the issue was contained to the main DB Application server and would have no effect on the Titan Game Database which is on a separate server.

The NST uses virtualization technology for running its services and servers and after further checks it was discovered the Titan Game Database had suffered data corruption.

The Titan Game Database has been restored on 20th May at around 11:30UTC to the last good backup taken on 20th May at around 07:30UTC.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the rollback and we would like to thank players for their understanding and patience during the downtime.

All Neocron services are now fully restored and running.
