we regret to inform you that we must report a GDPR violation.

The game server database, which contains the email addresses and passwords of all players who have ever played the game, was used on an internal test server in the USA. This constitutes a clear violation of the GDPR, as this data is not intended for use on an internal test server or for storage outside of GDPR-compliant storage.

We are currently optimizing our internal processes to prevent such incidents in the future. In the meantime, we officially recommend that all players change their passwords or request that their account be locked. To lock your account, please send an email to helpdesk@neocron-game.com from the email address you used to register your game account.

This incident is unrelated to the recent team split. We only learned of it shortly afterward.
